Curtis has designed, equipped and operated performance spaces for more than twenty years. For five years, he supervised the lighting and sound departments at Theatre Projects Consultants. Prior to that, he was the facility manager for the State University of New York’s Performing Arts Center at Purchase and production manager for Pepsico Summerfare, an international performing arts festival. Curtis holds a BFA in theatre technology from SUNY Purchase. He is the former chair of the Raleigh Historic Districts Commission and currently serves on its Design Review Advisory Committee.
